building industry has generally not got a good name for service
standards. What a difference it would make if you sent a follow
up message to recent and past jobs! Consider, when working
on a clients home, sending a simple message each morning saying
what time you plan to start, stop, or what you intend doing.
You
may find that you spend a significant amount on telephone
calls when obtaining quotations, delivery times, etc. Much
of this can be achieved with SMS messaging. A supplier may
get 100's of calls every weak for prices of their goods.
Instead of telephoning the client back on their cellphone,
consider sending an SMS with the details. It only takes
a few seconds to enter a clients details for the first time,
and then they are very easy to send follow up messages.
To improve
follow up service, you might consider sending a follow up
message confirming that everything is in order and as requested.
Send courtesy messages to referring clients - they're showing
a lot of confidence in you! Keep track of who is having
a big event like a marriage, baby, important sporting contest,
and send them good wishes. People remember this forever!
A good
way of reminding everyone about your goods or services,
are special greetings on birthdays, Christmas time, etc.
SMS messaging can be used as a wonderful marketing tool,
without even appearing to do so.
